The final episode of the first season of The Blacklist had just been broadcast but unfortunately, not all the questions that the audience may have had been answered in this final episode. Perhaps the creators and writers want the audience to look forward to subsequent seasons which I think will be many more to come.
One nagging question unanswered
Anyway, in the final episode, the nagging question that I and perhaps all the fans of The Blacklist want an answer to is whether Red is Lizzie’s father. Lizzie did pose this question to Red which he answered in the negative.
I believe Red
didn’t lie because according to him, he never lied to Lizzie and this proclamation is further proven when he admitted to Lizzie that he had killed Lizzie’s adopted father. He could have lied but he didn’t therefore I would assume that he’s a man who is true to his words. He doesn’t lie to Lizzie.My theory as to who Lizzie’s father is
I have a theory which I think many may not agree to because like most of the fans of The Blacklist, I want Red to be Lizzie’s father. Despite how manipulative he is, I still root for him and I wanted him to be Lizzie’s father. James Spader plays Red so well, I just cannot help but love Red.
Anyway, my theory is that Berlin is Lizzie’s father but Berlin doesn’t realize that his daughter is still alive. He, like some fans of this show, thinks that Red is Lizzie’s father and therefore because he thinks that Red owes him a
life (his daughter’s life), he wants to hurt Red where it hurts most; through Red’s daughter, Lizzie.How it all began (my theory)
Red may have known Berlin by another name and that is why Red isn’t familiar with the name. He may have been friends or enemies with Berlin and one night, they might have an altercation at Berlin’s house and the house was burnt down. Red was slightly injured but managed to save Lizzie. Red thought that Berlin died in the fire.
As far as Berlin is concerned, his daughter was with Red so when he was sent pieces of his daughter’s body parts, he thought that Red had done it unknowing to him, Red had given Lizzie to another man for safekeeping. And that is why Berlin is taking his revenge on Red.
This is just my theory
I don’t know if this theory is plausible but in my opinion, it’s the most likely thing to happen. I feel that Red didn’t lie when he told Lizzie that he wasn’t her father and the twist in the story is that Berlin is Lizzie’s father.
